Ridgecrest Auto Repair

I was driving from Southern California to Reno, NV on this past Saturday, towing a car trailer, when I had a blowout on a trailer tire. To my dismay, I could not find the wheel lock key for my trailer tire. After calling AAA, and being informed that they would not help me because the flat was on a trailer, and I did not have RV coverage, I called up A & L tire. After talking with Dom and Crystal a couple of times, Dom said they were slammed with work but would see what they could do. About 20 minutes after my last call to them, a gentleman named Brian called me. Turns out he is the manager at A & L. He said it was his day off, but he lived not far from where I was, and could help. He came down on his motorcycle, assessed the situation, took one of my lugnuts off the trailer ( as I had asked If we could just get rid of the wheel locks altogether in case I had another problem). He came back with the service truck and tools, broke all of the wheel locks loose, and replaced them with regular lugnuts for me. He then proceeded to put on my spare tire, and checked all of my tire pressures for me. All of this done on his DAY OFF of work, on a Saturday, on the side of the road. I had mentioned to them that I had limited funds, but had no problem following them to their shop to pay for this service call with a credit card if needed. Brian said not to worry about it, and he charged me about $25 less than I had in my wallet, knowing that I was not in an ideal situation. I gave Brian all the money in my wallet, and told him thank you and he saved my bacon. I made the rest of the trip without much of an issue, and I know these guys really know how to treat customers! Thanks again to Brian, Dom, and Crystal for helping me out in my time of need on Saturday!

These guys are awesome I had 2 back to back road trips planned my car needed some major work done they we're able to get the part & order 2 tires for me. When my tires didn't show up one of the guys drove half way to the wear-house it was about a 2hr drive. He did that for me just so I could go on my road trips. I seriously don't know any mechanic who would do that for a customer. They have been my #1 auto shop since I found them a few months back. Thank you again A&L Tire

Like many others in the reviews, my car broke down with a flat tire close to Ridgecrest and I was able to talk to their dispatcher and get to their shop on a spare tire. Both employees that were working on Sunday were luckily open after hours and enabled me to get my car fixed and back out on the road in a timely manner. They were both nice, and although they quoted me a bit high with the after hours service fee, this was to be expected as it was a repair after 5PM, so I did not take off any stars for this. I was beyond grateful for their help in getting me back home.

Had my truck aligned here a few months ago noticed when I left that steering wheel was crooked but truck tracked straight so I shrugged it off ,after a few thousand miles truck front tires began wearing on the outside this is a new truck with the oem tires about 6000 miles on the whole truck my previous experiences here were great and i was a repeat customer but after this I'll never go back the amount of carelessness to leave my truck like this goes to show that this place needs to do some quality control ,when ibgotnmy keys they even told me they test drive truck and it was fine and lined up

So thankful for A & L Tire Co!!! I was stuck on the side of the road, with Ridgecrest being the closest town. All tire shops were closed on Sundays and I asked my tow truck driver if he knew of anyone...he immediately recommended A & L and said they had on-call services. I called and they met up with me at the store w/in 15min...opened the place up just for me. I needed 4 new tires...yes I let them all go a little too long. My tire size is not usually in stock at most places, but they were able to take care of it and get me back on the road to San Diego. Extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Great experience that alleviated my worries.

We had borrowed my brother-in-laws truck for the weekend. Lifted F250 with 40 BFGs and a stock spare. Front right tire blew in Lone Pine and we got towed to A&L in Ridgecrest. My concern was any tire store was going to try to upsell you when all you want is to get home to handle it. They took great care of us. Moved the best tires to the front, sold us two used tires for virtually free to make sure we got home. Great experience, great care, very thankful for the help and the cost.

I was traveling from Mammoth Lakes back to La when my brake pad broke. I guess the noise making clip broke off, so I was unaware that the pads needed to be changed until they REALLY needed to be changed. Although my mechanic in LA would have done the job for less, these guys took me right away AND it was on a top (Labor Day). They were all very nice and even helped me figure out why my brakes never gave me that regular warning squeak. I would definitely recommend this place.

I picked up a screw in my tire...it was a tricky fix as the sidewall was barely punctured. Turns out I need a new tire. Their service is quick and professional. They even gave me a loaner tire so I wouldn't have to drive around on my donut while I wait for my tire to come in!
