A&L was a gem of a find - we took the Yelp reviews and trusted that we would get good service. I was traveling through from Death Valley on my way across the country to the east coast and realized I needed an oil change, so we stopped here for an oil change and tire rotation. The woman I spoke to on the phone let me know they had a summer special happening for a free tire rotation with oil change, which resulted in about a $50 estimate. While they were checking things, they discovered someone had put silicone around the plug for the oil pan, which no one else had let me know about, so they ordered a part from down the street and got it fixed really quickly for minimal charge. We waited less than an hour, even though the place stayed busy the whole time; and they had initially been willing to drive us home to wait but said they would just hurry since we were from out of town. I am more than thankful for this company. Back in April, my friend and I got a flat in the most desolate area of Death Valley. No tow trucks would bring us back there and we found ourselves so far away from our car. We hitchhiked to Ridgecrest. A&L Tires drove us back to our car and we got out in time to drive back to SF and make our class. 100000 thank yous. If I could give 20 stars I would. They were kind, and went above and beyond their service. Thank you.

Great shop. I was traveling through and needed a replacement tire. The tire was very reasonably priced. The gal at the desk was friendly and and got the paperwork done quickly. The mechanic replaced the tire and installed it on my truck checking both torque and pressure for needed tires, he was very fast and efficent and friendly too. These professionals got me back on the road in about 20 minutes. Thanks A&L, 5+ Stars!

Best tire and service shop ever! I got new tires a couple months ago and just had them put on shocks. Great people and great service! Highly recommend.

Awesome service, fast and good deals

Excellent service. People here were really polite and professional and got us in and out in a jiffy. I would definitely come here the next time I've a flat.

Starting on a positive note...Great staff. Friendly and attentive. Complimentary rides. Apologetic and kind. I have no personal issues with anyone.... That being said, I have a problem with my car and narrow down what it is by playing with the car. I don't want to throw parts at it so I take it in and tell them it wont pass smog because of one of these issues knowing it's a simple and quick fix. I forget to connect a tube before i take it so they charge me 110 and send me home. $110 TO PLUG THE TUBE IN! Not surprisingly that wasn't the issue and the light comes back on before I get home. They keep the car another day and night and charge me another 155 to replace a simple 30-60 dollar part (depending on the store) but by now it's too late and I don't want to start an issue so I pay. Car runs great so I take it to get smogged and it fails due to the codes being recently erased. They tell me the shop should have definitely told me it wouldn't pass unless I drove it a few days. Again, it can be argued that it's partially my fault. I call to tell them and they were kind and apologetic but that does nothing for me. They said I should have said I was getting it smogged (which i did neumerous times) and they would have mentioned it. I understand their side of this and it's just policy but I wish I would have gone somewhere else. I hate giving bad reviews especially since the people we very nice and it wasn't their fault. But I'll probably never go back. I've heard too many stories like mine.
